With limited visibility into device status and usage, Nordkysten experienced inefficiencies caused by inactive devices, outdated reporting, and fragmented lifecycle management.
The Solution
To strengthen its IT asset governance, Nordkysten chose to implement NetCloud Echo – our hardware-embedded asset management platform that operates independently of software, operating systems, and user interaction.

Estimated Environmental Indicators
Echo data allowed Nordkysten to estimate the carbon impact of decommissioning 235 inactive devices. Based on standard lifecycle emission factors, this change is associated with an estimated avoidance of ~26,600 kg CO₂e.

These calculations are based on benchmarks from the UNU Global E-Waste Monitor (2020), HP Carbon Footprint Methodologies, and Dell Sustainability Reports. Actual impact will vary depending on device type, usage, and end-of-life practices.
Perspective:
The indicative CO₂e savings roughly equal the annual emissions of six average passenger cars, based on U.S. EPA figures (2023: ~4.6 metric tons CO₂e/year per vehicle).
