The challenge

With over 6,000 devices across departments, the IT team at the Municipality of Lyngby-Taarbæk faced two critical pain points: lack of reliable data for asset management and inefficient support workflows.

“Asset management requirements were difficult to meet,” says Mikkel Arp, IT Manager at the Center for Culture, IT, Policy & Organisation. “We had to base audits and procurement on what I would call qualified guessing — because we simply didn’t have accurate, real-time data.”

The support team faced similar limitations. When users called in, IT staff had to ask multiple questions to even identify the device in question — wasting valuable time and resources. The team needed a solution that could provide a clear, centralized overview of all devices, their users, and current status — instantly.

The solution

To regain control, Lyngby-Taarbæk implemented NetCloud Echo, the hardware-embedded platform that delivers persistent visibility across all endpoints — regardless of location, connectivity, or operating system changes.

“Today we have live data on all devices right on our screens,” Arp explains.
“We know who’s using what, and what the status of each device is — in real time.”
